Biography: Wesley Harry, Artist June 07 2016

Wesley Harry originates from Little Black River, Manitoba, Canada. His artistic techniques and style have been self taught.

After the deaths of his youngest daughter, younger sister, his mother and father, plus all his childhood friends, Wes has turned to his traditional native culture and since 2001 has abstained from the use of drugs and alcohol.

As a survivor of Canada's Indian Residential School, he had to overcome the abuse he had endured as a student while staying at the school.After leaving the Indian Residential School, he was abused at home by his Mother and Step Father, which resulted with him living on the streets and being homeless.

Wes has found healing through his artwork along with many years of counseling. He has displayed and sold his artwork in many fine art galleries across Canada, including sales around the world.
